PDW + the Alaska SPCA

We’re thrilled to announce that Pike Dog Wellness is now a proud major sponsor of the Alaska SPCA (Alaska Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)! As one of their highest-level “Annual Pack Leader” Sponsors, we’re excited to collaborate with this outstanding organization to expand their services and reach within the mushing community.

The Alaska SPCA has been a pillar of animal welfare in our state for 70 years. They are a formidable nonprofit, operating a full veterinary hospital, mobile vet service vans, multiple veterinarians, a dedicated staff of over 25, and a robust statewide outreach program. They have an incredible track record of providing free or dramatically reduced-cost services, including spay/neuter and vaccination clinics.

Please note: The Alaska SPCA is NOT affiliated with the ASPCA you may know from the Lower 48. This is an Alaskan nonprofit, run by Alaskans, with an Alaska-centric mission that understands the unique needs of our communities, dogs, and mushers.

The Alaska SPCA is powered by true believers in dog wellness—just like us. We look forward to sharing their work with you, and we welcome your input on how we can better support the health, dignity, and well-being of your dog teams together.

Mush on! 🐕✨
